DLS is a mid-sized Canadian supplier of decorative, informational, and promotional labels to the consumer packaging industry. Starting operations in 1989, our clients now cover all market segments including food & beverage, personal care, wine & spirits, pharmaceutical and automotive. Our world class facility (25,000') is located in Mississauga, just 10 minutes from Pearson International. As a privately held company, DLS does not release company financials.
DLS currently operates 7 printing presses, with capabilities of up to 9 colour UV flexo, combination rotary screen, hot stamp, cold foil, emboss, and multiple web constructions such as coupons and peel & re-seal.
Our quality systems are fully integrated and documented. The DLS continuous improvement plan encompasses a Non-conformance report (NCR) system that identifies the cause of an error, the corrective action required, and the preventative actions required to reduce or eliminate the likelihood of a repeat occurrence.
The graphics department at DLS employs state-of-the-art software to accurately and efficiently produce digital proofs, manufacture plates (200 line screen), co-ordinate colour management, test runs, and digital mock-ups. The recent acquisition of a Kodak Approval System will further enhance our capabilities. Our on-line customer interface allows clients to view their label catalogue, check inventory, and place repeat orders.
The DLS sustainability initiative is divided into two areas: Social Conscience, and Responsible Manufacturing. The first area involves DLS employees becoming better corporate citizens by giving back to our community through 2 organizations: Human Concerns International and Family Transition Place. In addition, DLS donates 5% of profits to organizations like MADD, and Sick Children's Hospital. Our commitment to responsible manufacturing began in 2008 with the creation of our green team. DLS inks currently satisfy all CONEG regulations, and additionally we implemented a full vacuum system at the end of each press, that strips, shreds and compacts the waste to reduce the landfill footprint.

For the variable information industries in warehousing, inventory control, and distribution, DLS also operates a fully stocked blank thermal label program along with the compatible thermal ribbons from Zebra, Sato, Datamax, and Tec.
