Long Lake Cottages and Trailer Park, longlakelodge.ca - Cottage resort and trailer park, 1000 ft. of lake front on scenic Long Lake, portal to Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park (KHSS), 52 km.SSW of the Mineral Capital of Canada. KHSS, the newest and largest Provincial Park in Ontario south of Algonquin Provincial Park has vast areas of exposed bedrock between Palaeozoic limestone bedrock and Precambrian granite bedrock, situated along the southern edge of the Canadian Shield (an area mostly composed of igneous rock which relates to its long volcanic history), KHSS is relatively undeveloped area encompasses 37,587 hectares and features a rugged rolling landscape of small lakes, wetlands, forests and rocky barrens.
