Selkirk Security opened in October 2006 with great support of the community and today now employs over 50 professional security guards and trades persons to many communities, from our head office in Trail B.C our coverage area branches East to Princeton, West to Sparwood and North to Revelstoke & Golden.
In 2010 Selkirk Security gained three new technicians located in Grand Forks, Trail and the Creston Valley, adding to our current team of professional security technicians located in Trail, B.C. With this growth our technical division now boosts having the largest team of qualified security technicians in the Kootenays, with a combined knowledge and experience of over 85 years in the security & safety profession (which now includes ASTT Certified Fire Extinguisher Servicing). Our guard division has expanded with many high profile clients and the team is in demand from local government, Vancouver companies and even international firms planning on doing work in the Kootenays. With this growth our guard division has also seen a rapid growth of professional employees, which can be seen on many sites throughout the Kootenays.
Since opening our doors in 2006, William Trowell (Founder & Technical Supervisor) and Joya McIntyre (Guard Supervisor) have dedicated their knowledge, experience and community pride to the growth of Selkirk Security, and both are proud of their team of Security professionals. The values of our work continue to be Professionalism, Respect, Knowledge and Trust.
Our technical division provides superior service for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, our specialties include;
· Fire/Safety Services - fire extinguisher sales, inspections, maintenance, recharging and hydrostatic testing, emergency light & exit sign sales, testing & maintenance, commercial kitchen fire suppression sales, installation, certification and inspection and fire alarm system Sales, installation, servicing and inspections.
· Security & Technical Services – sales, installation, servicing and inspections of access control, surveillance cameras, intercoms, medical alert, telephones, environmental, and security alarm systems.
For those who require unsurpassed monitoring service, ULC rated alarm monitoring is available through our partner companies. In addition to technical service, we also maintain a team of licensed security guards, medics and alarm responders so that we can provide a solution no matter what the issue.
