Leading the change for the Cannabis Industry in Germany 1st April 2024 marks the day, when the decades long work and commitment of so many activists, industry colleagues and associations have resulted in a change in paradigm when dealing with Cannabis in Germany. And I am very thankful that I was able to play a small part in this. For me personally the 14th May 2024 was the next big step. I am honored and grateful that the members of the Branchenverband Cannabiswirtschaft e.V. elected me as their Chairman and President. I would like to thank everyone for their trust. And I want to thank Stefan Meyer for his leadership so far and Marijn Roersch van der Hoogte and Jürgen Neumeyer for the great work. Looking forward to the next years to come. Additionally I am very happy that Jürgen Bickel and Dr. Constantin von der Groeben have joined the board as well. In the evening of the day we welcomed politics, cannabis industry and friends to our annual Parliamentary Evening, which was a great event. We had the honor of welcoming the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir informing about his plans for the Industrial Hemp sector. We are looking forward working with you, to create a framework where our industrial hemp industry can thrive. In my short welcome speech I made clear: We have achieved a lot and the cannabis law is a clear indicator for that. But we still have a lot to do - for patients, farmers, consumers and of course for the cannabis industry. Long term we can't change everything just in Germany - we need to cooperate globally, to work on European and international frameworks for Cannabis to be changed. Thanks to my team and the colleagues at Aurora for all your support and to everyone in the industry for your cooperation. There is still a lot on our plate - so let's continue the great work.
