We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been selected as a finalist in two categories of the Retail Council of Canada 2024 Excellence in Retailing Awards! - Retail Marketing Category for our new Member-Exclusive App Launch Campaign, - Talent Development Category for our One-to-One Management Leadership Training Program. As one of 65 finalists from across the nation, we are thrilled to see our hard work and commitment to enhancing our customers’ experience recognized amongst an esteemed group of peers!    We’ve also been awarded finalist status in the 31 Annual Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards for our savoury and delicious Cal & Gary’s Pasta Sauce and authentic Cal & Gary’s Napoli Style Pizza! Winners for both awards will be announced at the end of May.  

Oakridge Construction Update! Construction of the new retail development is moving along with lots of activity. Canstruction wrapped up this weekend at Southcentre mall. Our team took home the prize for Best Original Design. Thank you to our partners ELAN CONSTRUCTION LIMITED and Systemic Architecture for all your work. It was a pleasure to participate in the event and to see the creativity of all the other entries – everyone wins when we come together to participate in events to help the community.   Through Canstruction Calgary Food Bank collected almost 45,000 cans which will go to the 700 households they help each month.   ▶ Learn how you can get involved here: https://lnkd.in/gzjPHiA

Yesterday we celebrated the expansion of Calgary Co-op into Cochrane in the community of Greystone. Surrounded by all the people who made it possible to bring this new retail and grocery shopping experience to fruition, we raised our ceremonial shovels to mark the occasion. The site will be home to a 41,275 sq. ft. Food Store as well as Calgary Co-op Cannabis, Wine Spirits Beer (WSB), gas station, Car Wash and Convenience Store. Today is build day for the highly anticipated spring Canstruction in support of the Calgary Food Bank. We partnered with Elan Construction and Systemic Architecture Inc. for our Build this year. The theme is Retro Toys and Games, You CAN Play, our structure is coming together and we look forward to the final reveal. Canstruction® Calgary brings together teams of engineers, designers, architects and builders to create extraordinary structures out of non-perishable food items. The structures are judged, exhibited to the public and then de-canstructed, with food going to the Calgary Food Bank.
