Do I need a permit to rent and operate a forklift? Since January 2007, it is mandatory to have trained as a forklift operator to drive and operate a forklift. To be eligible for this training, the driver must be 16 years or older (at least 18 if the forklift is to be used on a construction site). This training is essential and can be provided by A1 Machinery in order to help you prevent accidents. Our trainers are experts in the field and offer a leading training that meets all Canadian standards. Our training will help you to learn the safest methods for the operation of forklifts, to understand the main principles of work ergonomics, load handling techniques and to develop good habits and skills for forklift inspection.
