Lean Six Sigma Training and Certification

Lean and Lean Six Sigma Training and Certification

Lean Six Sigma Canada is an independent organization, a “third-party” certification company, offering the most robust certification in the industry. Why is the third-party the best Lean Six Sigma certification? A third-party certification increases confidence and trust and is most valued by employers, recruiters and peers.

Generally speaking, certification alternatives include: first party certification (internal or oneself certified, i.e. certified by the company you are working for), second party certification (external, i.e. certified by one of your customers) and third party certification (i.e. certified by an independent organization), the most trustworthy certification in the industry.

The world is becoming smaller and smaller, and the majority of organizations in today’s business environment must face global competitors in their own backyards. Implementing and deploying Lean or Lean Six Sigma is a huge competitive advantage.

Lean Six Sigma Canada Offerings

Lean Six Sigma Canada offers Yellow BeltGreen BeltBlack Belt and Master Black Belt online training and certification. The same training and certification belt levels are being offered in our classroom training (either onsite or public, open enrollment). In addition, for the onsite classroom training we offer White Belt (General Awareness), Champion, Project Sponsor and Executive Leader training as well as Implementation and Deployment Planning and Benefits Capture training.

We understand the importance of having guidance and support during the training and to be able to ask questions about tools and techniques, assignments and exercises, project work or statistical software. Our training is internationally recognized and we have trained thousands of individuals and corporations around the globe.

The value of any Lean Six Sigma certification is largely based on the reputation of the Master Black Belt that certifies an individual and trustworthiness of the school or educational institution granting the certification. Even though a few attempts have been made, there is no central, international accreditation body for Lean Six Sigma. However, Lean Six Sigma Canada is a member of American Society for Lean Six Sigma and The Council for Six Sigma Certification, which are accreditation bodies for Lean Six Sigma (LSS) providers.

Benefits of Lean Six Sigma Implementation and Deployment

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology provides a powerful framework for continuous improvement and overall organizational culture change.

Implementing Lean Six Sigma ensures a long-term change in the company’s culture, a culture of operational excellence. It prepares companies for the constant challenge of increased customer expectations and provides a framework for what is considered nowadays the best improvement method by the majority of world-class organizations.

Most of  today’s successful Lean Six Sigma organizations have their managers trained to at least Lean Six Sigma Green Belt level. In fact, the majority of Fortune 500 companies employ Lean Six Sigma trained managers for their continuous improvement programs.

Outstanding customer experience and customer satisfaction are critical success factors in today’s business environment. A happy customer is loyal and a tremendous brand advocate. That means excellent word of mouth, consistent repeat business and increased revenue. One of the most important Lean Six Sigma concepts is voice of the customer (VOC). Thorough understanding of customer requirements and expectations are prerequisites of any Lean Six Sigma project.

Lean Six Sigma deployment and certification requirements generate highly significant financial benefits through successful Yellow, Green and Black Belt project completion. The best project outcome is to turn customer satisfaction into customer delight, in parallel with improving your processes and increased returns on investment.

Any process is a series of interrelated tasks that transform inputs into outputs. Lean Six Sigma improves products and services by eliminating waste and reducing variation and defects, in conjunction with streamlining and optimizing the processes. Lean Six Sigma uses a data-driven methodology for improving processes, the DMAIC framework:

Lean Six Sigma Certification and Recertification

To be granted the professional designation of a Certified Lean Six Sigma Belt, candidates must successfully complete the training and project (if required based on belt level) components and pass the final certification exam. After successfully fulfilling the training and certification requirements, students will receive the certificate and an official email stating their achievement. Similarly with a Master’s Degree, or a Professional Engineer designation for example, Lean Six Sigma Canada’s certifications have no expiration date.

NEWS: Forrest Breyfogle, award winning author of “Implementing Six Sigma” and Crosby medal recipient, will be instructing once again the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt classroom training.
