“I am writing a letter to endorse Nathalie Blais as a great leader and educator. It was around last year this time that I began to start casually browsing exploring avenues to pursue a career in Life and Wellness Coaching. My internet search lead my to the Canada Coaching Academy. Upon reading up on the Academy and their objectives I took some time for contemplation, Eventually I decided to take the next step to reach out and ask some questions. The first person I made contact with was Roberta Ephtimios. Roberta did such an amazing job explaining the program and philosophy and also asked me the appropriate questions in an attempt to get to know me, my history and motivation. I took a little more time for deliberation and thought to myself, if I wait until i'm ready, it would be too late. By this time it was mid- late September that I committed to the course. During my stages of deliberation to enroll that my Mom was showing some severe health problems seemingly out of nowhere and was eventually diagnosed with Cardiac Amyloidosis which is an extremely rare disease that involved Chemo treatments and some stressful times along the way. It was around the end of the calendar year that we got some good news with regards to improved health and an end to Chemotherapy which coincided with our first class. Every Wednesday from 6 - 8pm for 20 weeks, me along with my classmates began the journey to learn about Health and Wellness through the Leadership of Nathalie Blais. Somewhere in this Journey I lost 2 esteemed Coaching Peers as well as this Covid-19 pandemic we are still in and finding ways to cope. Nathalie's class provided me with something to look forward to and be prepared for on a weekly basis. It takes a special Leader to keep people of various backgrounds and motivations to remain engaged on a weekly basis irrespective of their conditions. I work as a High Performance swim Coach so these qualities are easily recognizable. It is all to easy for me to notice when a leader has a supreme understanding as to what they are conveying based off their compelling and confident style of delivery.
