Today, we announced that we’ve entered into a commercial partnership with MRIguidance to distribute its BoneMRI™ imaging software in the U.S. as well as the successful completion of the world’s first eight spine procedures using BoneMRI technology with the 7D FLASH™ Navigation System. MRIguidance’s BoneMRI software enables and complements the 7D FLASH Navigation System to create a synthetic CT from an MRI to offer a radiation-free pre-operative imaging and intra-operative navigation workflow for patients and the surgical team. “Our team is passionate about optimizing clinical workflows and reducing radiation exposure to improve patient care and physician safety,” said Dr. Beau Standish, President of Global Enabling Technologies at Orthofix. “In addition to removing the need for pre-operative radiation, this collaborative innovation also minimizes the number of pre-operative scans down to just one, saving the healthcare system both time and money.
