As a Cyber Security expert, I have spent countless hours spreading awareness of the dangers of the Dark Web and advising companies on how to keep their personal and business information safe. I am the number one bestselling co-author of Easy Prey and the Canadian IT Playbook, and my insights have been featured in the book Thought Leaders and on Forbes.com.
My company, Coleman Technologies, provides cyber security consulting and services to help businesses protect their sensitive information from data thieves. Our goal is to ensure that our clients’ businesses can operate safely and securely in the digital age.

My journey in the field of cyber security began with a passion for technology and a desire to help people. I founded Coleman Technologies in 2001 with the goal of providing businesses with the expertise they need to protect their information and assets. Since then, my team and I have helped countless businesses navigate the ever-changing landscape of cybersecurity, and we are proud to be recognized as one of the leading companies in the field.

Mentoring in IT goes beyond just imparting technical knowledge; it's about fostering trust, understanding, and growth. Start by aligning clear goals with your mentee to ensure a structured journey. Remember, it's crucial to maintain a supportive stance, respecting their unique perspectives and experiences. Provide balanced feedback, encouraging both strengths and areas for growth. Sharing personal experiences can offer invaluable insights, showcasing real-world applications of skills. Lastly, embrace the reciprocal nature of mentorship; there's much to learn from your mentee's fresh perspective!

How can you provide effective technical support to users with different levels of technical knowledge?
The community offers excellent insight on enhancing technical support for users with varying tech knowledge levels! I've noticed a recurring theme emphasizing empathetic communication. No matter how familiar a user is with technology, it's crucial to make them feel understood. We start by assessing their knowledge, but our adaptability truly tests us. We can explain the same solution in several ways. The real challenge is to select the explanation that resonates most with the user. Using various methods and tools helps, but our attitude during the interaction makes a difference. Every interaction offers us, the support provider, a chance to learn. When we embrace continuous improvement and active listening, we elevate our support standards!

How is IT operations automation different from traditional IT management?
Traditional IT management, which emphasizes human expertise and manual procedures, defines the foundational principles of how we see IT's role in businesses. As we recognize the undeniable benefits of automation, we must not let automation completely overshadow traditional IT. The combination of human judgment and automated efficiency drives IT to greater heights. A balanced integration of both paradigms could lead the way forward.
