A recent tragedy left all of us in Orillia reeling after a downtown crash killed six-year old Avalon Jamieson as she was standing, waiting to cross the street with her dad and sister. Wanting to do something, however small, McLean & Dickey came together to put its best baking foot forward the way we love to do in support of the community. We decided to hold an in-house Valentine's fundraiser and donate the proceeds to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District in memory of Avalon. Team members could pre-order sweet treats and then our very own Cupid delivered them to their special co-workers on Valentine's Day. We managed to raise over $1000! Thanks to Cheryl Pye and Stephanie O'Halloran and everyone who baked, decorated and helped out for making this such a success.
