On July 7th, 2020 on a perfect weather day, my wife and I stopped and spent time for a picnic at the Robert Simpson Park. The park is located on a hill overlooking the Ottawa River at 400 John Street North in the Town of Arnprior, Ontario.
It is one of the largest parks in the Town and includes play structures with play areas.
The Macnamara Nature Trail in the southeast corner of Arnprior is a window into the past and present natural world of the region. The club’s largest project, its boardwalks, viewing platforms and benches let visitors explore it without disturbing its wild character. A new 1.5-km trail extension — the Nopiming Loop — provides an enhanced nature experience and improved observation of the wetland by Goodwin Bay.
