Calgary Asbestos Removal Inc. - Asbestos Awareness Campaign in Calgary, Alberta

10/30/2015 Calgary Asbestos Awareness Campaign - Brought to you by Calgary Asbestos Removal Inc.
Hello, and thank you for the taking the time to be a part of Calgary Asbestos Removal Inc. awareness campaign for Asbestos. It is not surprising that most folks don't know about Asbestos, or to the full extent of just how dangerous it is to your health, because even though the information is so readily available to the public, no one cares! If someone doesn't know something is going to hurt them, or even know what this material is in the first place, why would they go searching to look it up? That's why we at Calgary Asbestos Removal Inc. have dedicated ourselves to promoting Asbestos Awareness and to check your home for any Asbestos before doing any home renovations. Most homes and buildings built before the 1990's all the way back to the late 1800's have at least one Asbestos laden product inside of them, and if this material is disturbed it can released toxic, carcinogenic dust that can seriously harm or kill you! When Asbestos Fibers are breathed in, the fibers get trapped in the lungs, causing scar tissue to form which can give you Asbestosis, Mesothelioma, or Lung Cancer!

Asbestos Materials
Everything from siding, to roof shingles were made of Asbestos. Asbestos in its first conception back in the 1800's was praised for its near-indestructible properties which consisted of being fire and weather resistant, an excellent insulator for piping and walls, and was even used for fire-proof suits! The problem with most of these materials is that they are friable which means they can breakdown. When Asbestos materials breakdown the fibers are so tiny only some of the finest microscopes out there can see them, making them extremely easy to breathe in if the dust becomes airborne. These tiny fibers will stay in the lungs for years before symptoms arise, but when they do it is often fatal.
Asbestos Diseases
Asbestos diseases are becoming more and more common in Canada, the US, UK, Australia, and many other countries around the world. Currently Canada's number one on the job workplace killer is Asbestos related diseases with over 1/3 of on-the-job deaths related to Asbestos! Canada has let Asbestos diseases reach epidemic levels and this is something that needs to be stopped! Both blue & white collar workers are being effected by this deadly material as old office buildings undergo renovations without properly testing or ventilating. If you believe your building might have Asbestos inside of it, tell your employer immediately and get tested! Asbestos Diseases consist of Asbestosis, Mesothelioma, and Lung Cancer. Asbestosis is the scarring of the lungs due to Asbestos exposure in high amounts, this can also lead to Mesothelioma (Cancer of the lining in the lungs) which is one of the most deadly cancers with a 90% fatality rate and an average time to live of under 18 months.
