About Big Animal Encounters

Established January 1994

Big Animal Encounters is a family-owned adventure tour company on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Since 1994, we have been helping visitors experience the best of Whale Watching Campbell River and the surrounding coastal wilderness. Our tours include whale watching, grizzly bear expeditions, scuba diving charters, and fishing adventures. Guided by experienced local experts, guests can encounter orcas, humpback whales, bears, sea lions, and other remarkable wildlife. We are dedicated to safety, conservation, and delivering unforgettable outdoor experiences in one of Canada's most spectacular natural environments.
