A Lineal machine gives a ‘Vertical’ or up/down range of movement. Amplitude associated with them is small in range (<1mm to 4mm) and intensity varies greatly depending on machines specifications and amplitude capability. The lineal fitness machines have a smaller range of motion than the oscillating exercise machines. However, these machines have speeds that are considerably higher than their oscillating counterparts (20-60 Hz).
