Jaroslav and Peter Vydra was born in the Czech Republic, a country renowned for producing some of the finest glass and crystal products in the world. Jaroslav finished school in Karlovy Vary and was trained and worked at Moser, perhaps the most renowned producer of crystal in the world. Peter finished his engraving school in Kamenicky Senov , perhaps the most renowned art university in Europe .They are one of only a handful of people in the world who may justly be called a master engraves. Using the ancient copper wheel engraving technique. Peter and Jaroslav creates designs and images of breathtaking complexity and subtlety. Jaroslav arrived in Canada in 1987, founding Aida Crystal in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he continues to practice his art to this day.
