Dr. Nish Rajani completed his undergraduate studies at the University of New Brunswick majoring in Biology and obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1995 where he was the recipient of the KW Optical Company Award for his academic performance.
Dr. Rajani has lectured extensively in Canada and the United States in the areas of contacts lenses, laser vision correction, ocular disease and practice management. He has been a clinical and business consultant to various leading ophthalmic and pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, CIBA, Novartis, Sanofi, Roche, Allergan and Zeiss Instruments.
Dr. Rajani has appeared on Canada AM, Global TV, Breakfast Television and in The Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, Toronto SUN, Review of Optometry, Optometric Management, and Chatelaine.
He is on the Board of the Ontario Association of Optometrists where he serves on the executive committee as Treasurer. One of his proudest contributions as part of the Association, is as a key organizer of their annual general meeting which is the largest educational meeting in Canada for optometrists. The OAO has recognized him with The President’s Award for his dedication to the organization.
His primary areas of interest include laser vision correction, contact lenses and ocular disease. He has a special interest in diabetes and glaucoma.
